This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the Haircut Now platform, including Clients booking services and Barbers providing services. It explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information, and outlines your privacy rights under applicable laws such as the CCPA and GDPR.

By using Haircut Now’s website or mobile applications, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Account Deletion

You may delete your account and all associated data by:

  • Logging into the app and navigating to Account > Settings > Delete Account, or

  • Emailing [email protected] from your registered email address with “Delete Account” in the subject line.

Once processed, your account and activity history will be permanently deleted.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 From Clients

  • Personal Data: name, email, phone number, address, ZIP code.

  • Booking Data: appointment requests, service selections, deposits paid.

  • Usage Data: IP address, device details, browser type, pages visited, and session time.

  • Optional Data: location services (for nearby barber searches).

3.2 From Barbers

  • Business Data: barbershop or suite address, phone number, email, and operating hours.

  • Professional Data: profile photos, haircut photos, licenses, ratings, reviews, and service categories.

  • Payment Data: banking or payout information (if applicable for deposit/referral fee settlements).

  • Reputation Data: client reviews, complaints, and performance metrics.

3.3 From All Users

  • Communications: SMS, email, or app notifications.

  • Device & Tracking Data: cookies, pixels, device identifiers, and analytics data.

4. Payments and Deposits

  • Haircut Now only collects client deposits when booking.

  • Deposits are deducted from the total cost of service.

  • All remaining payments are made directly between Clients and Barbers.

  • Haircut Now does not process or store final service payments.

5. How We Use Your Information

We use collected data to:

  • Provide and improve the Haircut Now platform.

  • Facilitate bookings between Clients and Barbers.

  • Process deposits and maintain billing records.

  • Display Barber profiles to Clients.

  • Send confirmations, reminders, and promotional communications.

  • Ensure compliance with marketplace policies.

  • Prevent fraud and enhance security.

6. Communications

6.1 For Clients

  • Appointment confirmations and reminders.

  • Updates on bookings, cancellations, or deposits.

  • Promotional offers related to haircut services.

6.2 For Barbers

  • Onboarding, profile setup, and compliance reminders.

  • Business growth tips, updates, and marketing opportunities.

  • Notifications of new client requests.

6.3 SMS Messaging

We may send SMS messages for download links, appointment notifications, or promotions. Consent is required before receiving messages. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We may share information with:

  • Service providers (analytics, hosting, ads, or SMS delivery).

  • Advertising platforms (e.g., Facebook, NextRoll) for targeted campaigns.

  • Legal authorities when required by law.

  • Other users as part of normal platform function (e.g., Barber profiles visible to Clients, Client requests shared with Barbers).

8. Data Retention

  • Client booking and payment records are retained as long as needed for legal and business purposes.

  • Barber business and professional information may be retained longer for compliance and fraud prevention.

  • When no longer required, data is securely deleted or anonymized.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to:

  • Access your personal data.

  • Correct or update your information.

  • Request deletion (“right to be forgotten”).

  • Opt out of marketing.

  • Request data portability.
